# Hany SMS Pricing: Flat-Rate Credits, No Hidden Fees

> Hany charges a flat GHS 0.02 per SMS with no hidden fees. Credits never expire. Choose from starter, growth, or scale packages to get started.

Hany pricing is built to be simple. There are no per-network surcharges, no monthly minimums, no confusing tier calculations. One flat rate, across all networks, on every package. Buy credits when you need them and use them at your own pace.

## SMS Pricing

Every SMS sent through Hany costs a flat **GHS 0.02** — regardless of which network you're sending to and regardless of which package you're on.

## Credit Packages

Choose the package that fits your sending volume. All packages deliver the same flat GHS 0.02 per-SMS rate.

You can top up at any time — your existing credits are never affected. Credits from multiple top-ups are pooled in your account balance.

## SMS Segments

Not every message costs exactly one credit. Here's what you need to know about how messages are counted:

* **Standard SMS** — up to **160 characters** counts as a single segment (1 credit)
* **Long messages** — messages over 160 characters are automatically split into segments of up to **153 characters** each (to accommodate segment header bytes); each segment costs 1 credit
* **Unicode messages** — messages containing emoji, Arabic, Chinese, or other non-GSM characters use **Unicode encoding**, which reduces the per-segment limit to **70 characters** (or 67 characters per segment for multi-part Unicode messages)

**Example:** A 320-character standard message is sent as 3 segments → costs 3 credits.

  Keep your message templates under 160 characters and avoid emoji to maximise the value of each credit. Where Unicode characters are unavoidable, factor in the 70-character limit when estimating your send costs.
